Welcome to our service today, Dave Shafer and his wife, Judy. Dave and Judy are from Augusta, GA and have served as career
missionaries with the International Mission Board since 1995. They
live in Nepal, along with their two sons, Joel (14) and Matthew (10).
Dave serves as Strategy Coordinators for peoples of Western Nepal,
working with a number of church leaders in church growth and
discipleship. The Shafers are currently on a one-year home
assignment, where Dave continues in seminary studies. Both Dave and
Judy have previously served in two-year journeyman assignments in
international missions, Judy as a nurse in the Gaza strip and Dave as
a teacher in the Philippines. Judy has worked previously as a nurse practitioner and Dave as an electrical engineer in South Carolina.
(Judy is the sister of LBC’s Tim Hadden.)
